✍️ Get paid more $$$$ for your ideas!

Have you ever thought about offering a service that means you get paid for your ideas?

Pitching for free is normal but should we do it?

A little while ago on the Motion Hatch Podcast we spoke with Ryan Koral.

Ryan owns a video production agency.

He uses a workshop to generate ideas for a project. He charges $2500 for this workshop.

β€œif someone's going to work on a free pitch for you, how much time are they going to be able to spend on that, to really make it thoughtful and for it to align with who you are as a business and what your goals are. So that, that for us is our differentiator” - Ryan Koral

Lots of companies do charge for strategy and packaging it into a workshop is a great idea.
Here’s an outline of how you can create your own workshop:

Step 1: Outline your process.

Ask yourself some questions and build a process of how you deal with clients when they reach out to you.

What happens when the client first reaches out to you?
Do they want your expertise or do they want someone to execute their idea?

Step 2: Outline your workshop

Be clear on cost and the time spent. When you limit cost, time and outcome this becomes a productised service which means you can create a process for future clients.
Outline results the client will get from the workshop.
You should talk about features (what’s included) but also the benefits of the workshop.
Create a landing page with testimonials of how others have used your workshop.

Step 3: Share your process with the Client

If they want your expertise and ideas, present your workshop product to them.
Share why doing a workshop ahead of production is important. It can be a great way for you to test working together.
